So i'm not sure what everyone's travel plans are (i'm not exactly sure what mine are,) but I think I will be getting to Claremont on the 24th. If anyone is in Cmont then maybe we can do some pre-season bonding at the beach or even scripps pool the 24th/25th. Holla at me with ideas/if you'll be there

Hello All

Hi Team,

Thought I would say, "Hey," to everyone. Life is good here in Cali. I just returned from my 2 week RV adventure. My Mom, Bryce, and I had a great time. He is still in Wisconsin with his Dad and I am trying to catch up at work. I move offices in a week so I will have fun packing. Since the new building is open, all the field sport coaches are moving to the portables. Fun times!!

For those that do not know, Pritzlaff (our game field), was re-done this summer. They leveled it and put new grass out. Hopefully, it will be pristine when you get here.

I am excited to see you all and get going for this fall. If you have not done so already, please be sure you have at least tried each fitness test. If you are having trouble passing any, let me know and we can work on some changes in your plan to help you pass. Also, be sure you have done your physical- and for freshman, you have 2 sets of papers....one that is sent to the health center and the athletic set that you send to our trainers or bring with you to pre-season. We have 4 weeks to go!!!

The World Cup was fun to watch and I hope many of were able to see games. I think if we could have a little Brazilian flare, some France passing, Japan technique, German organization, and American heart and perseverance, we will be one hell of a team!!!

so excited that the newbies have decided to post! welcome everyone, I'm seriously so SO excited for next year and can't wait for these new additions to our team, which by the way is pretty much the best thing in the world, so be prepared!

I don't know if anyone is an Arsenal fan, but I went to the stadium today (Emirates stadium) and it was awesome. I bought my brothers jerseys (Wilshere and Van Persie). Julia I tried to convince Bobby that he should get a Fabregas jersey instead but he was stuck on Van Persie...he has decided that he can only wear number 10 now because he thinks he's the best haha. Anyways miss you all!

Helllooo! I’m Kerry and I will be a sophomore transfer at CMC next year from Washington State University. I live in a small town in Idaho and I typically play forward/outside mid. Seeing as it snowed and rained for about 90% of my freshman year, I am so excited to move to sunny California and join the Athenas! I’m really not sure what I want to major in, but... This summer I've been working at a camp and trying to work out in the morning because it is super hot and muggy here. (Thankfully I've heard that southern California doesn't get as humid as it does around here!) I’m not sure what I want to major in but I love Spanish and want to continue to study it (and hopefully study abroad at some point)

Hi there everyone, my name's Molly and I'm from Seattle. I'm going to be a freshman at Scripps this fall, and I'm super hoping to be able to play with you guys! I'm finding time for fitness in between working as a photographer at the Space Needle (btw, if anyone's visiting Seattle this summer, let me know because I can get you up for free), but it's hard to train as a goalkeeper without anyone to shoot on me. I might go awkwardly train with my high school team again, after emotionally saying goodbye to them all in June...

Heyyyy!!! Posting this after Julia scolded me for not having gotten my "butt" on the summer blog lol and it's still a little late...sorry!!! My name is Lauren and I'm from San Mateo, which is in the Bay Area. I'm going to be a sophomore this year and am majoring in Econ-Accounting with a Finance Sequence (I thinkk). This summer I'm working for a summer school at my high school (which I've worked at for the last two summers), hanging out, and relaxing. Getting in some workouts during the week, and I've played in two soccer games. I have two more this coming weekend. I am really excited to get back to school and see everybody again!!!!! <3

The boys send their love in the form of a video.  Pretty inspirational stuff.  They also say to work hard this summer, because they don't want some weak team representing them from the girls' side...I told them to just worry about themselves.

Hope you all enjoy it; it's a great video.  I know it's hard to keep working hard all summer, and since we're dead in the middle of it, I thought we should take some time to remind ourselves of what we're working for...and if you guys have been watching the Women's World Cup that shouldn't be a problem! How about that Wambach goal!?!!??!?!??!?!  Or Hope's save(s)?!?!?!  One of the sickest games I have ever seen.  Unbelievable.  Can't wait for Wednesday's game against France!!!

hello sweet angels!

Hey guys!

My name is Hannah and I'm going to be a sophomore at CMC. I'm majoring in Neuroscience and Applied Math (yeah it sounds disgusting but it's super interesteing) and I'm also premed. I'm a goal keeper and I'm from sunny southern California (which is SO HOT right now). We don't have air conditioning in my house right now and it's like 88 degrees in here and I want to cry. I'm working as a lifeguard/swim teacher at a day camp in La Canada, so I have a sweet one piece tan going on. I'm basically spending all my time at CATZ (what a surprise) so if any new comers have any questions about those work outs, let me know and I can clarify those "weirdly named" exercises. Dan and Ryan say hi to everyone as well. My life right now is basically CATZ and work so I, like Jen, would love any distractions.

I'm SO EXCITED for next year/to see all of your smiling faces/ to meet the new comers. I'm watching the US kick Brazil's ass currently (I mean hopefully, we're winning right now so). I also work with someone who plays Redlands soccer, and I've been talking a lot of shit, so get ready to win. A lot. I'll see you all in less than two months!!!!!!!

HP7P2 and Meet Bobby!

Hey guys,

So since a ton of people asked to hear about HP I thought this would be the easiest way to tell everyone. My friend allie and I had tickets to the world premiere so we got to walk the red carpet and when we walked in we were 2 ft away from rupert grint and the red carpet was amazing. There were dementors and diagon alley and a ton of cool sets and live owls! I put pictures up too. At the after party we sat next to Ginny and Fred Weasley (I dont know their real names) and then we were right next to Emma Watson but her body guard made us leave because she was having a private moment with her mom (how private can it really be if its in a room with 300 other people though?) anyways it was really fun! Miss you all! Freshmen you guys should post!

I'm Amy and I'm from the Bay Area. I'm going to be a sophomore at CMC this year and I'm not sure what I'm majoring in but I do know that I'm pre-med.

This summer I've just been working part-time at a vet clinic, attempting to play pick up (it's hard to find people to play with around here), and hanging out. I might get a second job at a climbing gym starting next week as well.

I can't wait to get back to Claremont and start the season with everyone. I'm so excited to see all the returners and can't wait to meet all you new people! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer (except for the training packet- ewwww so much work!). See y'all in 6 weeks and 6 days!
